Transitional Interim Pastor

Our Pastor Search Committee (PSC) has been diligently working since May in searching for a full-time senior pastor as well as an interim pastor. We have blessed by God leadership and PSC hard work in securing a Transitional Interim Pastor, Allan Blume, who began serving us in August 2025.

Allan is a North Carolina native who has served in many roles in the Baptist Ministry. With more than 50 years of experience in ministry. He served as executive editor and president of the Biblical Recorder for eight years, retiring May 31, 2019. Prior to serving as editor, Allan served as a pastor for more than 35 years in Texas, Oklahoma (Harvard Avenue Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK), Charlotte, North Carolina (Statesville Avenue Baptist Church and Hickory Grove Baptist Church), as well as in Boone, North Carolina where he pastored at Mount Vernon Baptist Church for over 16 years. Allan also served a three-year term as president of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina’s board of directors and one term as president of the North Carolina Pastors’ Conference. Allan currently serves churches and pastors in transitional interim ministry through the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. We are pleased and fortunate in being able to have Pastor Blume lead us during this transitional period of God's church at Bethlehem.

The transitional process for our church has begun. We give Praise and Thanks to God as his people at Bethlehem seek to follow his path and will for us during this time.
